Disneyland is ready for the holidays

Disneyland turns into a winter wonderland during the holidays. This year Disneyland is ready for the holidays with plenty of festive cheer all around. As Disneyland gets full swing into the holiday mode, there is plenty to see and do with a series of parades, shows and family entertainment for the entire holiday season. 

Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle

During the holidays, the Sleeping Beauty Castle is decorated with shimmering lights, icicles and snow-capped towers. The castle is a majestic site at any time of the year, but the transformation during the winter holidays makes is a truly beautiful photo opportunity. 

Haunted Holiday Mansion

The haunted mansion is transformed for the holidays, combining Christmas and Halloween themes for a unique creepy Christmas haunted mansion. The mansion is filled with characters from "The Nightmare before Christmas" by Tim Burton. A spooky tour through the mansion will be fun for the whole family. 

It's a Small World

Visitors to Disneyland can join in the singing of the popular Christmas and holiday song, Jingle Bells in different languages from across the world. There is also a holiday clock show. 

Jingle Cruise

The Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise for the holidays at Disneyland. The boathouse has been decorated with Christmas lights and decorations and the boats have also been renamed specifically for the holidays. Guests may also hear a holiday-themed radio broadcasting playing in the background. 

Fireworks Display and Christmas Fantasy Parade

The Disney fireworks display has an added magical touch at the end with the falling of snow. The annual parade of Mickey and Disney characters is also underway during the holiday season as they parade to lively music down Main St., appealing to visitors and guests of all ages. 

World of Colour is an impressive and majestic night-time spectacle. It is an outdoor show that features film clips projected on a huge water screen, accompanied with momentous music from Disney films spanning decades and effects of fire, water, fog and laser, along with incredible pyrotechnics. World of Colour is dancing fountain display that amazes viewers of all ages.

There is so much going on during the Holidays at Disneyland, with plenty to see and do. Besides special attractions, the entire Disneyland resort is gleaming with holiday lights, music and decoration. There is a special feel to the place during this time of the year Travellers may be thinking about how many days would be enough. There is no definite answer, but travellers looking to visit Disneyland for the Holidays should book at least a few days to make the most of the experience as one day is simply not enough. 

There are plenty of accommodation options as well as dining options for visitors to Disneyland, and of course there is no shortage of entertainment options. Travellers from certain countries, including the UK, are eligible for visa waivers so would not be required to obtain a tourist visa to visit Disneyland.
